JENNIFER FAY RICE, M.B.A.

SECRETARY | Cohort XII, San Juan Island & Program Director 2016-2017

Jennifer is a lifelong learner and serves where there is a need in her community. As a Program Director for LSJI, she developed the curriculum and coordinated the learning through a five-month learning experience and continues to contribute on social media for LSJI.

She earned her MBA in 2021 and has a degree in Psychology, which she’s put to good use while teaching, a role that all of her positions required. Her diversity of achievements includes having her art featured at Island Studios in Friday Harbor; 30 years of business experience consulting in healthcare and training, property management, and as a national sales manager in the Pacific Northwest coffee industry. She still sees clients as a consultant and has worked as a contractor developing curriculum for HR departments’ onboarding education. Jennifer is currently open to full-time remote contractor opportunities.

Jennifer loves to welcome people, bridging gaps to serve and help others learn. She’s been a Sea Scout leader, Girls Scout co-leader, swim parent, homeschool co-op teacher, and wellness workshop teacher in health professional offices. She has a son in college, a daughter in Chiropractic college and lives with her husband of 30 years, Eric Rice. They both decided to move to San Juan County for their children’s education and she fully embraces island living with open arms, serving in many different areas. Jennifer and her husband can be found traveling and hiking with friends and family in their spare time.
